The long-awaited map with detail we can make out.

This map was only supplied after public complaints that we were denied seeing details!

See text below for council and our comments.

- How to ruin a Village via Council's foul colouring of a map! Easy for them, a nightmare for us.

Be especially afraid of the horror in the mauve areas!

Council explains the map as follows, with comments by us

What does the (Final) draft strategy which is currently out for community feedback propose for Dingley Village?

» 93% of the residential land in Dingley Village would be covered by a planning control that has a 2-storey height limit.
(but dual occupancy Encouraged)

» Some properties along Centre Dandenong Road (7% of Dingley Village) and in close proximity to the Dingley Village Shopping Centre would be covered by a planning control allowing up to THREE storeys.

(WHAT! Do they mean: Don't worry Dingley Village, there is only a little bit of horror! Right along Centre Dandenong road and in the Golf Course along the back fences of Christina Terrace - encouraging any future plans for the Golf Course to go skyward!

DID YOU KNOW: If greedy developers can squeeze in a basement like a garage, then there will be FOUR LEVELS in the mauve area!!
A councillor tried to water that down, by saying that rule has applied in Kingston for a long time.)

» A minor part of the Kingswood Golf Course site that backs onto Christina Terrace is already zoned Residential. The draft proposes that if developed, this land could accommodate up to 3-storeys.

(A MINOR part?? Three storeys along the properties in Christina Terrace! Setting a precedent for the area!)

Two additional small parcels are proposed to be covered by a planning control that has a 2-storey height limit.

The balance of the Golf Course land is NOT impacted and remains in a Special Use Zone that encourages golf related activities.

(No! it sets precedent for any future attempts by Australian Super to overpopulate the Golf Course! Plan 2 is expected by about August/September)

All emphasis and added comments by us.
